Our Review
We all greatly enjoyed this enlightening, though often disturbing, book about fourteen year old Adunni and her fight to receive an education in Nigeria. We all admired brave Adunni as she battled cruelty and modern day slavery to finally achieve an education – a rare achievement for a young housemaid in Nigeria – even today.
